Day 1

15th April, 2017 :

Day-1 started with packing up and taking an Uber cab from Home at Sion to Mumbai Chatrapati Shivaji Domestic Airport Terminal. The on-time flight took me and my wife to Goa around 1.0 pm. My hotel check-in time was around 2.0 pm. Took a pre-paid taxi at Goa airport for Hotel near Calangute Beach. Taking a hotel at Calangute is the best choice as the area is quite urbanized, very near to Calangute Beach and you have people around on the streets buzzing with their scooter or walking on streets till mid-night.

The taxi took an hour and charged around Rs. 1300/- for dropping us to the hotel. The reception at the hotel was nice and to my surprise we were given a free upgrade to and 'Executive Room' from 'Superior Room' which i had booked via 'MakeMyTrip'.

A little exhausted from the trip we spent some time in the hotel getting fresh and had our lunch at the 'Seven Seas Restaurant' in house of the hotel. The food was excellent, reasonably priced. No artificial colours used in Chicken Masala with Garlic Naan that was yummy.

After a little nap, we both went to Calangute Beach, walking for 10 minutes, seeing all the colorful life and people of Goa. We hashopping at some super market near Bagha Circle for essential stuff, Deo, Creams, etc.

All we could see was shops for Tee-Shirts, Tattoo, Cashew nuts, Wine, Restaurants and Bars.

Upon reaching the Calangute Beach, it was dark and beach shore was lit up with colorful lights. DJs and Music rocking the beach. Few people were still in sea water enjoying. The beach however was crowded and everyone was busy in their own enjoyment.

After roaming for about an hour at beach, we headed back to hotel and were wondering about our next days activity. We enquired at reception for any tour packages allied to hotel. They had North Goa, South Goa & Other Special Packages. Since our plan was to roam on scooter at North Goa, we took the South Goa Package at the hotel.

The tour package priced at Rs. 350/- per person was only for site-seeing and vehicle expenses for a day.
